information about what learning disabilities are, the underlying

causes of learning disabilities, and how we can think about how to

effectively support children and youth with learning disabilities.

Practical Strategies for Teaching Kids Accountability

Presented by Janet Arnold and Fal Desai:

In this presentation will help parents understand the explicit skills and

strategies needed to develop personal accountability skills in children. we will

discuss a variety of tools for children to learn accountability and a variety or

academic and social emotional competencies.

Mental Health and Learning Disabilities

Presented by Amanda Daniel and Mahsima Nostrai-Inanlou:

Their work focuses on promoting mental health and socio-emotional development

of children with learning disabilities through evidence-informed therapy practices

that accommodate the child, youth and family’s strengths in learning.
