Last week, our blog addressed the IPRC (Identification, Placement, and Review Committee) so it seems only fitting that we address the IEP (Individual Education Plan).
This is an important annual meeting that will address your child’s performance in the classroom with respect to goals, as well as review supports and services to see if they are effective in providing your child with what they need. New goals will also be set. For a better understanding of what the IEP is all about and how to get the most from them, we turn to our friends at Understood.org for an overview of the IEP basics in The IEP Meeting: An Overview, as well as a video on the topic of Tips for a Better IEP Meeting.
